HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Blended Learning

 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. 

This course is delivered via a combination of elearning for the theory (including an online quiz and assessment activity) and a practical face to face session (including a practical assessment).Students must have internet access to complete the online component and this must be completed before attending the face to face session. Both theory and practical assessment tasks need to be completed by students to receive a statement of attainment. 

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID001 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (includes CPR) - Blended Learning

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.


 

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (includes CPR) - Face to Face

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support


 

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (includes CPR) - Blended Learning

Provide First Aid provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - Blended Learning

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. 

This course is delivered via a combination of online learning for the theory (including an online quiz and assessment activity) and a practical face to face session (including a practical assessment).Students must have  internet access to complete the online component and this must be completed before attending the face to face session. Both theory and practical assessment tasks need to be completed by students to receive a statement of attainment.

HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy

This unit teaches CPR and the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy - Face to Face

This unit teaches CPR and the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Mental Health First Aid Course - Standard (MHFA)

The Mental Health First Aid course teaches how to provide help to someone who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.

The course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, how to provide initial help, what professional help is available, effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for a mental health crisis situation. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.


This is a Face to Face MHFA course. This course is also offered fully Online (click here for information) or in Blended mode (online learning with a face to face workshop).

Learn how to assist young people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing worsening of a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. 

The course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, how to provide initial help, what professional help is available, effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for a mental health crisis situations. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.


The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is for adults working or living with young people (aged 12 to 18).

Your pet relies on you and you’d be devastated if something happened to them. Pet First Aid is a short online course that will make sure you are ready to respond to emergencies like wounds, toxic reactions, heat stroke, seizures, critter bites and cardiac arrest.

You’ll learn how to prevent common issues and how to apply first aid to your dog or cat in a variety of situations if something does go wrong.
 

PUAEME007 Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal Injury

Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal involves the skills and knowledge required to minimise further injury to a casualty when applying first aid and waiting for emergency medical aid. It includes recognition and management of a suspected spinal injury‚ immobilising cervical spine, evaluating the need to move a casualty, preparing a casualty for transport, transporting and monitoring a casualty and performing a casualty handover.

 

PUAEME008 Provide Pain Management - Face to Face

Provide Pain Management involves the skills and knowledge required to administer restricted analgesics to provide pain management as part of a medically supervised first responder organisation. It includes identifying the need for analgesia; accessing‚ preparing and administering restricted pain relief such as analgesics and aspirin according to medically endorsed protocols; performing casualty handovers and completing analgesic use requirements.

 

SISSS00118 Sports Trainer Level 1

Sports Trainer Level 1 introduces students to the principles of sports medicine and provides the basic knowledge and skills required by sports trainers. It is ideal for sporting clubs to train members so they can help their player be safer and can be sports trainers / first aid responders at training, games or matches. It is also great  for teachers‚ coaches, administrators and parents or anyone involved in club or school sports.

 

Tertiary Student Mental Health First Aid Course - Blended Learning; eLearning & In Person Workshop

The Mental Health First Aid for or the Tertiary Students course teaches how to assist a fellow student developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

This course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems‚ how to provide help‚ what professional help is available, effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for mental health crisis situations. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.


This is a Blended course and includes self-paced eLearning followed by an in person workshop.
 

Tertiary Student Mental Health First Aid Course - Online Learning; eLearning & Zoom Workshop

The Mental Health First Aid for or the Tertiary Students course teaches how to assist a fellow student developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

This course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems‚ how to provide help‚ what professional help is available‚ effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for mental health crisis situations. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.


This is an online course. It includes self-paced eLearning followed by 2 live zoom workshops. This course has been developed specifically for tertiary students.

 

UETDRRF004 Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel and CPR - Blended Learning

UETDRRF004 Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel covers the performance of rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace subject to regulations for undertaking of electrical work.

Other conditions may apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this unit.

This is a Blended course which includes eLearning a Face to Face session.
