NEW COURSE – SISSS00118 SPORTS TRAINER LEVEL 1

PRICE: $395

Sports Trainer Level 1 introduces students to the basic principles of sports medicine and provides the basic knowledge and skills required by sports trainers.

It is ideal for sporting clubs to train members so they can be first aid responders at their games or matches. It is also great  for teachers, coaches, administrators and parents or anyone involved in club sports or school sports.

This qualification is required to become an accredited Sports Trainer in Australia.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course.
Duration: 3 days classroom training + completed pre-course workbook for the HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting component. (Course is 2 days for students with current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificate OR current First Aid and CPR certificates).
Validity: Qualification is valid for three years completion date. HLTAID001 Provide CPR (valid for 1 year) and HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (valid for 3 years) form part of this course and must both be current to maintain this qualification.

  • HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting*
  • SISSSCO015 Prepare Participants for Sports Competition
  • SISSSPT001 Implement sport injury prevention and management strategies

* Students who hold a current HLTAID003 Provide first aid certificate OR current First Aid and CPR certificates are able to receive credit for that component.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: SISSS00118 Sports Trainer Level 1.
