HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Face to Face

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID001 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

 

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Online Learning

 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. 

This course is delivered via a combination of online learning for the theory (including an online quiz and assessment activity) and a practical face to face session (including a practical assessment).Students must have  internet access to complete the online component and this must be completed before attending the face to face session. Both theory and practical assessment tasks need to be completed by students to receive a statement of attainment. 

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID001 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.



 

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (includes CPR) - Face to Face

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support


 

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (includes CPR) - Online Learning

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.


 

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (includes CPR) - Face to Face

Provide First Aid provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This course is suitable for children and teenagers aged 11 to 17 years old.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - Face to Face

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. 

Supersedes and not equivalent to HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first Aid response in an education and child care setting 


 

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - Online Learning

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site (includes CPR) - Face to Face

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a remote or isolated site over an extended period of time until medical assistance is provided, or evacuation occurs. First aid is to be provided in line with guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian peak clinical bodies.

HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid (includes CPR) - Face to Face

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy - Face to Face

This unit teaches CPR and the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

PUAEME004 Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal Injury - Face to Face

Provide Emergency Care for Suspected Spinal involves the skills and knowledge required to minimise further injury to a casualty when applying first aid and waiting for emergency medical aid. It includes recognition and management of a suspected spinal injury, immobilising cervical spine, evaluating the need to move a casualty, preparing a casualty for transport, transporting and monitoring a casualty and performing a casualty handover.

 

PUAEME005 Provide Pain Management - Face to Face

Provide Pain Management involves the skills and knowledge required to administer restricted analgesics to provide pain management as part of a medically supervised first responder organisation. It includes identifying the need for analgesia; accessing, preparing and administering restricted pain relief such as analgesics and aspirin according to medically endorsed protocols; performing casualty handovers and completing analgesic use requirements.

 

SISSS00118 Sports Trainer Level 1 - Face to Face

Sports Trainer Level 1 introduces students to the basic principles of sports medicine and provides the basic knowledge and skills required by sports trainers. It is ideal for sporting clubs to train members so they can be first aid responders at their games or matches. It is also great  for teachers, coaches, administrators and parents or anyone involved in club sports or school sports.

Achievement of these units provides credit towards qualifications in sport in the SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package.
