DESCRIPTION:HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Face to Face) \n\nHLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation  is a nationally accredited unit that provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform CPR in emergency situations. This critical training prepares participants to respond promptly and effectively to cardiac arrest incidents\, enabling life-saving interventions until professional medical help arrives. The unit encompasses all aspects of CPR administration\, including situation assessment\, performing chest compressions\, and delivering rescue breaths. \n\nCourse Requirements:\nTo ensure the best outcome for you\, the Australian Govt. requires that students undertaking nationally recognised courses have the learning skills or support they need to succeed. In line with this all students are now required to take a short LLND (Language\, Literacy\, Numeracy\, and Digital Literacy) self-assessment. Your answers are confidential and allow us to identify any support or reasonable adjustments you might need to complete the course.\n\nUnique Student Identifier: \nYour Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number for life. It also creates a Government authenticated record of your vocational education and training (VET) achievements.\nYou need a USI if you are a student studying nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET). DESCRIPTION:Tertiary Student Mental Health First Aid Course - Blended Learning; eLearning & In Person Workshop \n\nThe Mental Health First Aid for or the Tertiary Students course teaches how to assist a fellow student developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.\n\nThis course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems‚ how to provide help‚ what professional help is available\, effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for mental health crisis situations. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.\n\nThis is a Blended course and includes self-paced eLearning followed by an in person workshop.\n \n\nCourse Requirements:\nCourse Prerequisites: \n\n	That you are a University or Tafe student (evidence of this will be required).\n	You must complete the eLearning before the in person workshop.\n\n\nNote: This is an education course‚ it is not a therapy or support group. If you would like to discuss if this course is right for you‚ please call or email us.\n  \n\n\nWho is this Course For:\nThis course is suitable for tertiary students. It includes information and example scenarios relevant to students however the information and techniques can be applied to all adults\, in all situations.\n\nThis is an evidence based course developed by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia\, a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. Find out more about the Mental Health First Aid course here.\n\n  \n\n\n\nCourse Outcomes:\nCertificate of completion of Mental Health First Aid trainingCourse participants may undertake an optional online assessment to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider (there is no extra cost for this) \n\n\nCourse Delivery:\nAbout this course: \n\n	There are two parts to this course; Self paced eLearning (5-7 hours) and a 4hour person workshop. \n	You must complete both parts to become accredited.\n	You must complete the eLearning prior to the the workshop.\n	If you have already completed the eLearning and would like to enrol in the workshop only please call us on 5444 4171 or email admin@assistfirstaid.com.au\n\nCourse inclusions:\n\n\n	Self paced eLearning (5-7 hours)\n	\n		Once you have enrolled and paid for your course\, you will be emailed course information.\n		A link and voucher to redeem for your eLearning will be emailed to you 2 weeks before your Face to Face workshop.\n		The e-Learning must be completed before the workshop.\n	\n	\n\n\n\n	Face to Face workshop session (4 hours)\n	\n		This is a practical workshop focused on applying of knowledge and skills learnt in the eLearning. In the workshop we will:\n		\n			Examine issues relevant to student mental health problems in more depth.\n			Clarify any questions you have from the eLearning.\n			Apply the MHFA Action Plan to scenarios.\n			Discuss 'where to from now' in using mental health first aid skills\n		\n		\n		Proof that you are a student and have completed the eLearning will be required.\n	\n	\n\n\n\n	Mental Health First Aid manual\n	\n		You will also receive a current\, printed current MHFA manual. You can pick this up from the Assist First Aid office in Buddina after enroling (or when you attend your workshop.\n		You will have access to an Online MHFA manual while you complete your eLearning.\n	\n	\n\nOther Information:\n\n\n	This course has a minimum of 6 students.
