DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid Course - Standard (MHFA) - Face to Face \n\nThe Mental Health First Aid course teaches how to provide help to someone who is developing a mental health problem\, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.\n\nThe course covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems\, how to provide initial help\, what professional help is available\, effective help options (as shown by research) and first aid for a mental health crisis situation. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to feel confident to help.\n\nThis is a Face to Face MHFA course. This course is also offered fully Online (click here for information) or in Blended mode (online learning with a face to face workshop).\n\nThis is an evidence based course developed by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia\, a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. Encouraging early help- seeking is one way to promote a mentally healthy workplace. This critical training prepares participants to respond promptly and effectively to cardiac arrest incidents\, enabling life-saving interventions until professional medical help arrives. The unit encompasses all aspects of CPR administration\, including situation assessment\, performing chest compressions\, and delivering rescue breaths. \n\nCourse Requirements:\nTo ensure the best outcome for you\, the Australian Govt. requires that students undertaking nationally recognised courses have the learning skills or support they need to succeed. In line with this all students are now required to take a short LLND (Language\, Literacy\, Numeracy\, and Digital Literacy) self-assessment. Your answers are confidential and allow us to identify any support or reasonable adjustments you might need to complete the course.\n\nUnique Student Identifier: \nYour Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number for life. It also creates a Government authenticated record of your vocational education and training (VET) achievements.\nYou need a USI if you are a student studying nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET). DESCRIPTION:HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - Blended Learning \n\nProvide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting provides the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR and a first aid response to infants\, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. \n\nThis course is delivered via a combination of online learning for the theory (including an online quiz and assessment activity) and a practical face to face session (including a practical assessment).Students must have  internet access to complete the online component and this must be completed before attending the face to face session. Both theory and practical assessment tasks need to be completed by students to receive a statement of attainment. \n\nCourse Requirements:\nTo ensure the best outcome for you\, the Australian Govt. requires that students undertaking nationally recognised courses have the learning skills or support they need to succeed. In line with this all students are now required to take a short LLND (Language\, Literacy\, Numeracy\, and Digital Literacy) self-assessment.
