Snakes alive! The ASSIST Medics Training Workshop deep dive into snakes and envenomation was sssssimply sssscintillating.

ASSIST Medics attend regular training workshops which cover advancements in first aid, further expand their knowledge of focus topics and build on their skills.

Recent ASSIST Medics Training Workshop’s included;

  • A guest senior Rugby Union referee who got the team to form a Rugby scum. This first hand experience helps them understand the pressures and specific injuries to watch for.
  • This deep dive session into snakes and envenomation.
  • Taping skills practice for advanced techniques.

Regular workshops are one of the ways ASSIST makes sure our Medics are top of their game. Assist Medics have the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to provide professional first aid to support sports and events organisers’ in looking after their community and fulfilling their duty of care.
