This unit teaches CPR and the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Who is this Course For:
This course applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations‚ include community and workplace settings.
Course Outcomes:
- Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy.
- Certificate for HLTAID015 is valid for 1 year from completion date
- Legal Note: Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Duration: 2 hours self paced online learning, plus 6 hours Face to Face with trainer.

Course Assessment:
- Practical Demonstrations: Simulated scenarios and/or role playing
- Knowledge Assessment by trainer during the course
- Project (incident report)
Course Content:
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Perform resuscitation procedures
- Deliver oxygen therapy
- Communicate details of the incident
- Review the incident
