Last weekend ASSIST Medics were spread across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland covering the biggest cycling event of the winter season! Velothon Sunshine Coast sees cyclists covering 330 kilometres of riding and 5379 meters of hill climbing over 3 days in a Gran Fondo style including the King of the Mountain climb and Sprint Stages. Cyclists from around the globe participated in this epic journey that started and finished in Cotton Tree, Maroochydore.
Our medics were located at the start/finish line, each feed station along course and roaming along the course. The glorious Sunshine Coast weather proved just why it’s the perfect location for this event each year! Our medics get to enjoy the high spirited competition between these athletes as they speed by and stop in at the aid stations along the way. Here at ASSIST we appreciate all that goes into making these events happen and work closely with event organisers to ensure we provide the participants and spectators a high standard of care.
